Discovery Green is an urban park with 12-acres of green space located in downtown Houston. Take a stroll around the peaceful pond, go for a jog on the numerous paths, or let your pup cool off in one of the many dog fountains. Sam Houston Park
This 10 acre park features picturesque footpaths that pass by an old mill and cross over a rustic bridge. Amidst a downtown populated by towering skyscrapers this park is a tranquil escape right in the middle of it all.

Wondering what “sesquicentennial” means? We’ll give you a hint. This park was established to commemorate the 150 year anniversary of the founding of Houston. This urban park runs alongside the Buffalo Bayou river in the heart of Houston’s Theater District.
