Just a few blocks away from your travel apartment, Monument Circle is the heart of downtown. It’s the place to go for fun events and spectacular views of the city. You’ll get to know this area very well, as all of our recommendations are within close proximity of each other. To kick off your weekend, take a walk (or elevator ride) to the observation deck of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, which commemorates the soldiers who served in the Civil War. For a history lesson, the Colonel Eli Lilly Civil War Museum is located on the lower level. From there, you are within walking distance of plenty restaurants, bars and late-night entertainment. Everything is a quick 5-10 minute walk away, depending on your apartment selection:
- The Capital Grille - One of the many steakhouses in Indy, this one is best known for its dry aged, hand cut steaks and unmatched wine selection. They also serve a variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. There is something that will satisfy everyone’s palate.
- Nada - You’ll be transported to a different world as you sit in this beautifully decorated interior. Their Mexican, southwestern fusion dishes are sure to surprise your tastebuds.
- Haunted Indianapolis Ghost Walk - If your a fan of ghost stories, you’ll want to learn about the haunted areas of Indy on a historical ghost tour. You can choose from multiple tour options depending on your interests.
- The Mind-Tripping Show - This is a highly rated interactive, theatrical comedy show with a psychological twist. It’s guaranteed fun for everyone age 13 and older.
When your night comes to an end, you’ll still be within walking distance of your travel apartment.
